pardonmybloomers: For me, this is also from being a cosplayer. I’ve had nightmares about attending a convention in a cheap satin outfit. Please, dear goodness, if you ever buy cheap thin satin, please only use it to line things and/or make muslins. If you want the shiny look, go for a bridal-weight satin. They don’t wrinkle as easily and though it’s less breathable and less flowy, it doesn’t look cheap. :) Actually, I like Satin, but one has to use it right (f.e. right lining, dresses only, blablablubb)
